About Me
My name is Urfana and I am a BACP registered Counsellor. I understand sometimes it can be hard to find the reasons behind the pain we feel and I believe all we need is "sakoon". Sometimes in our life, we have to go through hardships, damage, loss, pain, tests, betrayal, misunderstanding, mistrust and search for the needed "Sakoon"(peace). I am a qualified and registered Counselling Therapist, Clinical Supervisor and Social Worker. I am also an Author, Speaker, Teacher, Student, Trainer, and qualified Interpreter and Translator (Law/Health). I have over 20 years of experience of working in different settings in different roles. Besides English, I offer therapy in Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Mirpuri, Hindko and Pothwari. I have experience of working with diverse cultural and faith backgrounds and I offer a warm, safe and private space to explore how you are feeling. At the heart of my work with clients is the relationship that I build with them. I believe I have the natural ability to connect with people and their pain and have a caring and empathic nature which allows me to understand the courage of individuals to make the decision to seek support. I aims to support clients to heal and find their answers through therapy and live their life to their full potential.
