About Me
I have an associates in Islamic Studies from Mishkah University and have done a year long intensive at Tayseer Seminary. I have a certificate in Community Building and Leadership Development from 7Cups, an online listening and therapy service. I offer a variety of services for the Muslim community such as new Muslim (less than 3 years) guidance and connection, older convert (more than 3 years) guidance and connection, interfaith workshops, pre-marital advice, advice on creating an Islamic will in the United States, classes in English on tafseer of the Quran, Islamic research, as well as general shariah-based advice with a strong understanding of American culture. I have a reputation for valuing compassion and inclusion. For one, I aim to be inclusive of various types of special needs and neurodiversity as well in my teaching and services. Additionally, I have a history of community work in both Sunni and Shia communities, although my background (and identity) are Sunni. I believe we need more compassionate people in spiritual work. To be in the service of other people is a blessing so I do what I do for the sake of Allah (SWT) and trying to help facilitate a healthy spiritual home for others
