Assalam Alaykum!

My name is Sumaiya Afzal. I am a mother of 4 grown-up children. My twin daughters are married and have children, essentially making me a young grandma! I currently reside in Sydney next to a beautiful river with my two boys. I love nature and go for long walks along the river and often go on a ferry ride to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee near the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

I enjoy others' company and consider myself a social being. Although not so keen on cooking or house chores, I am pretty organized and enjoy entertaining.

I am a passionate coach and I get my positive energies from coaching women in becoming emotionally strong. I believe becoming aware of our emotions would solve half the problem and the rest is solved by getting to know how to handle them. A background in psychology has added immense value to my coaching and my understanding of others' perspectives. I am close to completing my post-graduation in Psychology and plan to follow my passion in the future.

I have a teaching background with a diploma in the Montessori method of teaching. I taught young children for a while before becoming a high school teacher and working with teens. Because I was a little too soft-spoken, I was the only teacher at school who had to carry a mic in the classroom to make myself audible to students. My rich teaching experience with teenagers helped me coach parents who go through challenges in parenthood
