About Me
I am a multilingual Speech-Language Pathologist, having earned my degree from the University of Montréal in 2019. Born and raised in Montréal with Lebanese and Syrian roots, I spent three years working in the public health system, primarily serving racialized and multilingual communities. From 2019 to 2022, I focused on supporting autistic children and their families.
Alongside my passion for my profession, my areas of interest include multilingualism, identity, and anti-racist activism, and I am committed to continually evolving my practice to be more inclusive and respectful of neurodiversity.
Currently, I work as a project coordinator, leading the implementation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies within the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Québec in Trois-Rivières. I also offer speech and language therapy online to a variety of clients.
Services I Offer:
- Screening for speech, language, and feeding issues with parents (through videos, interviews, and forms)
- Counseling for parents on speech, language, and feeding concerns (all ages)
- Teletherapy for speech and language for children aged 5 and above
- Teletherapy for dyslexia and dysorthographia
- Teletherapy for adults with aphasia
For a comprehensive assessment in speech and language, as well as reading and writing, including a detailed written report, the fee is 200 per hour.
With my educational background and 5 years of hands-on experience, I offer personalized, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care. As a multilingual Speech-Language Pathologist who has worked extensively with racialized, multilingual, and neurodiverse populations, I bring a deep understanding of how language, culture, and identity intersect with communication challenges.
Some key reasons to work with me include:
Tailored Multilingual Support: Fluent in multiple languages (including English, French, Arabic, and Bosnian), I understand the complexities of working with multilingual families and children, ensuring culturally and linguistically relevant therapy.
Experience with Autism and Special Needs: With years of experience working with autistic children and their families, I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapies designed to meet the unique needs of neurodiverse individuals.
Focus on Family-Centered Care: I believe in collaborating closely with families to ensure that therapy aligns with their cultural values, goals, and everyday communication needs.
Committed to ongoing training and continuous learning to stay current with the latest research findings and evidence-based practices.
