About Me
My name is Dr. Shaiza Perween and I'm a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist based in Bhadohi, India. With over 8 years of experience, I've had the privilege of helping clients from all over the world make significant emotional and social progress and my approach to therapy is grounded in scientific evidence -based therapy. I had always lived in boarding school while pursuing my education from primary to a doctorate, getting along with people of different cultural, religious and social backgrounds. This richness of experience has nurtured the power of understanding, compassion, and cultural integrity within me, which further gets reflected in my therapy room. Having my roots in a traditional Muslim family, I am aware of the hardship and unheard voices of the people of the community. Thus, I aspire to serve the communitys needs from a mental health perspective and hold a very high opinion for quality education for any community to thrive. Apart from that, I love to spend my time reading psychological novels, and travelling.
Having a strong inclination towards Mind- Body- Soul Model, I believe that in every healthy body resides a healthy mind. In my therapy room, I uses warmth, humor and natural curiosity to create comfortable and supportive environment for my clients to vent out their emotions and thoughts, explore their strengths and weakness, and find resilience in challenging situations; so that they can feel calmer and joy and build a life where they are thriving.
