About Me
Shaykh Ahmad Wardak is a therapist-in-training who provides faith-integrated counselling, drawing on over five years of pastoral counselling experience. He supports individuals, couples, and families with anxiety, low mood, stress, marital conflict, grief, religious doubts, and identity concerns. His work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in professional ethics and confidentiality.
Clinically, he integrates Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with appropriate Islamic psycho-spiritual practices such as intentional duʿāʾ, dhikr, and values clarification. Sessions are collaborative and goal oriented, with clear treatment plans, measurable steps, and practical skills for home use. He offers short-term and ongoing support, and coordinates referrals to specialized services when needed.
His current training includes a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto and the Professional Islamic Counselling Skills Programme at Spring College, alongside advanced Islamic studies that inform sensitive, evidence-based integration. He also holds a B.A. in Criminology and serves as Religious Director at Subhan Islamic Association. Services include individual and couples counselling, premarital guidance, and community workshops that build emotional resilience and healthy relationships.
