I am a British Born Muslim woman with passion and personal experience to help families navigate parenthood.
I am a childcare professional for over 30 years, specialising in Birth, Breastfeeding and Postpartum care. My complicated five births made me determined to prioritise better outcomes for other mums.
As an Advanced Doula Practitioner in Birth and Postpartum Care for Mothers & Babies. I offer many specialisms in my work such as how to heal after birth through good nutrition for optimal breast milk and how to heal the womb back to health. I work with so many people of all backgrounds and ethnicities and take care of their individual cultural requirements.
As a British Muslim woman I like to talk openly about the many taboo topics and stigmas created by societal pressures on us women!
I discuss periods, menopause, PND and mental health with anyone who will listen and do my best to chat about this online and in group settings.
I have been successful in engaging with so many young women who also feel the same and happy to open up too. I have done my very best to change how I raised my own children compared to my own strict upbringing and arranged marriage. I have managed to train a Pakistani man to talk openly about periods and buy pads for us all as well as understanding PMS, peri menopause and Menopause awareness! this is not an easy thing to do in a south asian home!
I have successfully coached and supported hundreds of new families who are still in touch with me today.
My particular passions are pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. I believe in the 40 day rest period after birth and that all women must take full advantage of this in order for them to heal both emotionally and physically. I offer many trusted treatments that aid in healing the womb and body back to strength and wellness. The Postpartum Fascia for babies is very popular and helps heal from birth trauma. This treatment is used to align and soften any tightness in the babies body so they can position and feed better.
I also support weaning, sleep solutions and understanding your toddler and how to navigate early years education as well.

28 May 2023 at 10:40 pmReference from Mum in Dulwich A.D recommends #zarinathedoula Postnatal support and Part time Nanny If you’re the mother of a newborn and need support – particularly if your own family is not around, if you’ve had a complicated birth, if you need some rest, or if you’re struggling for whatever reason – I want to highly recommend the wonderful woman who took care of me. Zarina Ayyub is a post-natal doula/nanny who specialises in short term and part-time roles supporting new parents of newborns. She also has extensive experience working with twins and is a registered doula and lactation consultant. Zarina has five children of her own and a granddaughter born in 2019, so draws on extensive personal as well as professional experience. Zarina worked two half-days a week for us when our son was 8 weeks old. At the time I was really struggling physically and emotionally with ongoing complications from the pregnancy and labour, to say nothing of the realities of life with a second child, and felt acutely the absence of my family, who all live overseas. What was so amazing about Zarina was not just the care she took of our son (her deep wisdom and tenderness in caring for tiny humans was immediately evident!) but the care she took of me too. I trusted her completely with our son and was able to use the time she was with us to sleep or to attend regular medical appointments. I also benefited tremendously from her gently offered advice and practical support around introducing him to bottled breast milk, helping with reflux, helping him sleep on his own in the cot, etc. Later when I had to have day surgery with very short notice she was able to rearrange her schedule to look after him for an extended period, which was a huge relief. It’s no easy thing to trust a stranger in the care of your newborn child, but I would wholeheartedly recommend Zarina to anyone who is seeking care and support for whatever reason.
