About Me
Fatma is an experienced UK trained Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist, a member of the British Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and her license with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). She has over 15 years of mental health experience specializing in working with adults, couples and adolescents.
Education:
Fatma earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling in London and continued her academic journey to obtain a Master’s degree in Integrative Counseling from London Metropolitan University, further refining her understanding of human behavior and mental processes.
Building upon her strong educational background, Fatma pursued a postgraduate degree in low intensity Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at University College London. Following suit, she completed another postgraduate degree in high intensity Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Royal Holloway University, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices. This in-depth knowledge equips Fatma to effectively tailor interventions and support individuals in their mental health journeys.
Qualifications & Experience:
With a diverse and enriching experience in mental health services, Fatma has dedicated herself to making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves. She has worked in various private and public mental health settings, including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation trust (the world’s oldest mental health service), where she applied her expertise in CBT and other therapeutic modalities to help individuals manage and overcome a range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
