She has over 15 years of mental health experience specializing in working with adults, couples and adolescents.
Education:
Fatma earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling in London and continued her academic journey to obtain a Master’s degree in Integrative Counseling from London Metropolitan University, further refining her understanding of human behavior and mental processes.
Building upon her strong educational background, Fatma pursued a postgraduate degree in low intensity Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at University College London. Following suit, she completed another postgraduate degree in high intensity Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Royal Holloway University, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices. She has worked in various private and public mental health settings, including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation trust (the world’s oldest mental health service), where she applied her expertise in CBT and other therapeutic modalities to help individuals manage and overcome a range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in working with adults and adolescents facing a spectrum of mental health challenges. Her expertise encompasses a diverse range of conditions, including but not limited to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, low self-esteem, depression, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety disorder.
